Trinidad & Tobago students’ historic ISS amateur radio contact
The Newsday paper reports on the historic Amateur Radio contact that Sixth-Form students in Trinidad & Tobago had with the International Space Station (ISS).
The students at the National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology’s (NIHERST) Caribbean Youth Science Forum (CYSF), were the first from the region to speak to an Astronaut on the ISS. The students were assisted by volunteers from the Trinidad and Tobago Amateur Radio League (TTARL).
The contact was an Amateur Radio telebridge via Luis LU8YY in Argentina.
